The recent theft of personal information from Target shoppers-noted by some experts as one of the largest cyber crimes of all time-highlighted the sophistication of cyber criminals and the increasing vulnerability of businesses and customers alike. Small-to mid-size businesses are falling victim to cyber criminals at an alarming rate. A recent study by Verizon estimates that 70 percent or more of data breaches in 2012 impacted companies of fewer than 100 employees. By targeting the online presence of employees and vendors, hackers are increasingly bypassing known security measures and installing software that cripples small businesses. These attacks can cost a small business thousands or even shutter them. Experts join us today as we tackle what you can do to protect yourself or your business.
