The OKC Butcher
02/08/2020 Duration: 40minIn April of 1976, three men would wander into an abandoned building, which they soon discovered to be a house of horrors.Inside of the home were the dismembered remains of a young woman, whose identity would elude investigators for the better part of two decades. This killer, who seemed to have shown no shame in committing this vile act of butchery, was eventually given a nickname fitting their savagery years later after police tied them to at least two other acts of obscene violence. Because of the victims that they targeted, however, their crimes haven't received much attention in the decades since, and many details of their crime spree remain closely guarded by the killer, whose identity remains unknown today... The Con
29/07/2020 Duration: 45minThis bonus episode is an interview with producer Patrick Lovell, who has been working on his new true crime docu-series "The Con" for the better part of the last decade. "The Con" is centered around the 2007-2008 financial crisis, which happened as a result of widespread fraudulent activity and the collapse of the housing bubble. The story is told through the lens of Addie Polk, a 90-year-old woman from Akron, OH whose house was foreclosed upon, ultimately leading to Addie attempting to take her own life... but that's really just the start of this never-ending story. In this interview, I chat with Patrick about how he got involved with the story, what avenues the docu-series explores, and how the recession of a decade ago might just be a taste of what's in our immediate future.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/unresolved--3266604/support.

The Long Island Serial Killer (Live-Stream)
07/06/2020 Duration: 01h13minThis week, in lieu of a new episode, I'm posting the audio from June 4th's live-stream. I was joined by my good friend Jesse Pollack (The Acid King, Death on the Devil's Teeth) to chat with Robert Kolker (Lost Girls, Hidden Valley Road). It was a great chat, and I cannot thank both Robert and Jesse enough! If you're interested, please refer to my prior episodes on the Long Island Serial Killer before listening. We touch upon several topics/subjects that I addressed back then, and might be necessary to have a full understanding. 31/05/2020 Duration: 43minFollowing the arrest of Bill Bradfield in April of 1983, his fate began to look grim.In the ensuing trial, prosecutors would manage to successfully link Bradfield to Susan Reinert's death, as well as at least one other "unnamed co-conspirator" (who many at the time believed to be Bradfield's longtime associate, Jay Smith). Over the next several years, this story would continue to play out, providing answers to some of the overarching questions that had been haunting those in the Main Line region of Pennsylvania, while ignoring the others, which remain unanswered to this day...Part 3/3 Episode hosted, produced, and research/writing by Micheal WhelanOriginal music created by Micheal Whelan through Amper MusicTheme music created and composed by Ailsa TravesProducers: Maggyjames, Roberta Janson, Ben Krokum, Peggy Belarde, Quil Carter, Laura Hannan, Victoria Reid, Gabriella Bromley, Damion Moore, Amy Hampton, Steven Wilson, Scott Meesey, Marie Vanglund, Scott Patzold, Astrid Kneier, Lori Rodriguez, Aimee McGregor,

The Main Line Murders (Part Two: Jay & Bill)
24/05/2020 Duration: 46minIn the years after Susan Reinert's body was discovered, investigators would struggle to latch on to available leads. Early on, investigators had begun to probe the backstories of two men - Jay Smith and Bill Bradfield - but had no concrete evidence linking them to the case. Both men had shady pasts, and undeniable links to the victim (as well as to each other), but were seemingly beyond reproach. Over the next several years, a delicate game of cat-and-mouse would be played throughout the court system. But what started out as a civil suit between Bradfield and Susan Reinert's loved ones would slowly morph into a full-on criminal investigation... Now in their mid-20's, these four were alleged to have murdered four teenage girls in a yogurt shop years prior, and were subsequently charged with their deaths. Over the next several years, a complicated story would begin to play out in the Texas court system, where anyone's guilt was far from assured. The Austin Yogurt Shop Murders (Part Two: Confidence)
29/03/2020 Duration: 01h15s"On December 6th, 1991, we - as a city - lost our innocence. Today, we regain our confidence."Those were the words spoken by Austin's mayor Kirk Watson, at a press conference held in October of 1999. In the nearly eight years since four teenage girls had been killed inside of a yogurt shop, the city had rallied behind law enforcement in their desperate pursuit of answers. Now, it appeared like they finally had them. However, the buildup to this announcement was much more complicated than met the eye. Investigators had come and gone, suspects had vanished nearly as quickly as they arrived, and the answers provided by police nearly a decade later were far less than a sure thing...
