Written as a novel, Escape to Freedom, is the story of Alois’ courageous escape from Czechoslovakia in 1949 as an eighteen-year-old during WWII, being put in refugee camps, his miraculous meeting & marriage with Poldie, and eventual move to the US, when they moved their family to Grandville, MI in 1956, and built a successful Michigan business. For eighteen years Alois has volunteered in the Ottawa County Jail three days a week and has personally led 2,100 men to faith in Jesus Christ.
