This week, we look at the first high school basketball player to be drafted by the NBA. The problem was, by that time, he was already accumulating a criminal record that would far surpass anything he would ever do on the basketball court. He was accused of awful things, including an allegedly doing one of those awful things to a future member of The Supremes. He never learned his lesson. Kept drinking, shooting heroin, and finally robbing drug dealers to make a living. This week, we check out one of the weirdest, craziest stories, ever! He was an Australian javelin thrower, but there isn't much sports to talk about here. Why? Because this guy did so much more. Including putting himself into a wooden box, and shipping himself COD from London, all the way to Australia. From there, he got deep into drug smuggling, with some pretty ingenious ideas. Only problem is, he keeps getting caught. Including being caught with heroin in Sri Lanka, and being sentenced to death! This week, we look at one of the violent, aggressive, and disturbing individuals, to ever enter the NFL. And that's saying something. From his early, and ongoing gang ties, to the fact that he was pretty sure he could get away with anything. He almost did get away with anything, until the bullets started flying. His best friend accused him of shooting this friend in the eye, and he was tried for 3 different murders! His prison life was just as crazy, with fights, attacks, and eventually ending it all, in a horrific way, and leaving a few notes behind! This week, we catch a huge wave... of crime, with a legend of the North Shore surf scene. He has had a lot to do with tournaments, and competitions, all around the islands, but he is best known for starting what could have definitely been called a gang, consisting of local surfers, using threats & physical force to keep the waves all to the locals. The group was also accused of being a crime ring, complete with drug trafficking, and the violence to back up those activities. A gruff, tough guy, with a dark past, and one of the most harrowing childhoods ever!! While in the Army, he was boxing champion, and convicted rapist, sentenced to life in military prison, but he gets another shot at the outside world, because he happens to be the star of the prison baseball team. A major league career, brings him some World Series glory, a cool nickname, and more sexually deviant charges. This week, we go back to a much different time, with a man who had his first boxing match in 1891, after learning to fight against "hobos" in train cars at age 13! He wasn't some boring, old timey guy, though. He was a scammer, and a flamboyant fighter, who did many things for the first time. He invented "your shoes are untied", then knocking someone out, when they looked down. He employed thumbtacks. He was a part of fixed fights. He did it all. This week, we check out a man who is known very little for his brief MMA career, but he is a "superstar" of crime. After washing out of the lowest levels of MMA, he takes a job at Home Depot, meeting some new friends, and trying to lead a normal life. He meets some new friends, while selling them a barbecue, which to a night of heavy drinking, and good times. The problem is, at the end of the night, both of his new friends are dead, and the entire scene is soaked in blood. An English kickboxer, with international titles, but we barely have time for any sports, due to this episode being packed with crime. Wall to wall. His main occupation was robbing drug dealers for very large amounts of cash & product. Sometimes, needing to torture the unsuspecting dealer with a clothes iron. He claims to the main person to set off a famous riot, that lasted 9 days, and injured hundreds. He's just an all around bad dude. This week, we look at hall of fame player, who was the best at what he did, from the second he stepped on to a basketball court. The world bent over backwards to show him love, and let him off the hook, at every turn. He had a very public marriage, even hosting a TV show, with his wife. But under the surface, there was allegations of a decade of abuse, with implements of violence ranging all the way from a baseball bat, to a large cookie.
