Matt Brandmeyer and I wrestled in the state finals my senior year of High School. It was a pivotal time and match for both of us and its outcome meant different, yet similar things for the both of us. We watch the match together and reminisce about the match itself, what led up to it, the past, the present. Matt is now a successful Trauma therapist specializing in developmental trauma and a social worker. He's also a good dude. This conversation was a long time coming.

We hope were wrong but we don't see a scenario where the fate of our country goes off without a hitch. It's a very exciting time to be an American but its also pretty damn scary. Branden Powell was a Kansas State Champion in 1994 and is now an assistant coach at Paola High School. His son Kaidan was a state champion last year and is looking to repeat as a senior. Branden is now a successful business owner and it was fun to sit down and talk about the old days in both of our careers. Branden is funny, honest, and was a cradling machine.
