What about veterans who only receive a veteran’s disability payment or benefit? What about people on SSI or other means-tested benefits? What about college students below 24 years of age? Will the stimulus payment be taxed? Will the payment have to be paid back? Will the payment be subject to garnishments or any offsets? Who will not receive a stimulus payment? How will payments be sent? Can I give the IRS my bank information for a direct deposit check? Who will need to file a “simple tax return” to receive a payment?
