08/04/2025 Duration: 17minDespite 29 points from both Quentin Grimes and Lonnie Walker IV, the Philadelphia 76ers lost their 12th straight game, falling to the Heat 117-105 in Miami. Walker started the Sixers off well with 9 points in the first quarter including two threes, while Quentin Grimes was the biggest part of a 3rd Quarter surge scoring 14 points in the quarter. Adem Bona put another solid night together for the Sixers recording his fourth double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Grimes, Walker and Bona helped the Sixers draw even at 83 at the close of the 3rd Quarter. In the 4th Quarter, the Heat took control thanks in large part to a 13-3 run anchored by Duncan Robinson’s three at the 7:46 mark of the quarter, it was all Heat after that. The Sixers did a great job throughout the night keeping up with the T-Wolves even after the Wolves went on a 13-0 run in the 4th quarter. Quentin Grimes was the main reason for the Sixers sticking around, scoring 17 of his 28 points in the final frame, including four threes. Anthony Edwards proved to be too hot to handle for the Sixers, as the one they call “AntMan” scored a game-high 37 points. His big night included a soul-stealing dunk on Adem Bona in the first 4 minutes of the game and then hitting a game clinching three with :07 remaining. Sixers have just four games left on the season. 04/04/2025 Duration: 17minAdem Bona had a career night, Giannis Antetokounmpo had a HISTORIC night, as the Philadelphia 76ers fall to the Milwaukee Bucks 126-113. The Greek Freak put up 35 points with 17 rebounds and 20 assists. He’s the first NBA player in 42 years to achieve that stat line. While Giannis was going off, so was Adem Bona, but in a more modest way. The Sixers’ rookie second round pick never showed fear when called upon to “D-up” Antetokounmpo. Bona finished with a career-high 28 points while pulling down 6 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. The Sixers as a team came out of the gate ready to play and outscored the Bucks 39-25, Bona with 10 of his points in the 1st quarter. The Bucks did come storming back in the 2nd quarter to take a 2-point half-time lead. The Bucks controlled most of the second half, but really took off after a late 3rd quarter surge by Gary Trent Jr. who scored 6 points in the final :62 seconds of the third. While the Sixers were in the midst of getting blown out at home by the Heat, one would guess that the fans in South Philly were keeping an eye on the closing seconds of the Nets vs Wizards game in Washington. The Nets came back from 17 down, to beat the Wizards in the closing seconds. That Nets win, coupled with the Sixers win, broke a tie for the 5th worst record in the association. Congrats Sixers! As for the game, Tyler Herro dropped a game high 30 points on the Sixers, while Adem Bona and Jared Butler led the Sixers effort. Bona came up with another double-double 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Butler scored a team-high 19 points with 10 assists.
