In this weeks cafe church sermon Alastair explores the last section of John 11. Following on from the resurectrion of Lazerus to the plot to kill Jesus by the Pharasies. Challenging each of us to consider the areas we are happy to let Jesus into and the spaces where we would rather he wasn't there at all.

Lorna continues our journey throught Johns Gospel. Exploring the story of Lazarus, a man brought from death to life. Lorna shares with us a picture of Jesus who is with us in our sorrow, Jesus we can call on in our pain.

Callum explores Jesus Parable of the Sower in Luke 8. Considering how the soil is doing in our own lives and ways in which we can be like the farmer, sowing the word of God into other peoples lives.

Lorna Fyfe shared the story of help coming from an unexpected place and invites us to recognise that we, too, are part of the story.

With it being both Pentecost and Street Pastor Sunday Alastair explores what it is to Go. Looking at the early church as the exploded out from Jerusalem.

Alastair continues through the Gospel of John looking at the beginning of chapter 9 where Jesus heals a blind man. Considering the spiritual blindness that often creeps into our lives.

Alastair looks at the next part of John chapter 8. Considering the freedom that Jesus offers. Some may claim to offer freedom in this life but none of those offers can ever come close to the freedom Jesus invites us into.

Alastair continues looking at Johns gospel with then next part of John 8. Here we find Jesus powerful statement "I am the light of the world" and the challenge of what it looks like to shine as a light for Jesus in the world.

Returning to our series in John's Gospel Alastair explores two stories. One of the woman about to be stoned, the other of Peter after the resurrection. Considering in both Jesus, who meets us where we are.

This week in Cafe Church we launch another painting from the Gospel Sketchbook project "Waiting for healing". Alastair explores the passage in Luke 5 and cosiders how we understand healing today.

Being Easter Sunday Alastair looks to the wonder of the resurrection. Celebrating the hope that we find there.

Alastair explores the next part of John 6, where the crowd gather round Jesus. They come looking for food for their bellies rather than a relationshop with the living God. We are challenge to reflect on what we come looking for to Jesus.

This week Alastair looks at John 6 with the feeding of the 5000. Considering the crowd that gathered, what did they want or expect from Jesus? Challenging us to make sure our faith isn't just about what we can get from Jesus.

Alastair continues through John's Gospel with the second part of chapter 5. Here he explores the power of testimony in our lives and beyond.
