Being set apart for God means we are viewed as strange and weird. We are called not to fit into the mold of this world but to be transformed by renewing our minds through God’s truth in the Scripture. In this sermon, Pastor Justin shows us how to live out our faith in ways that may seem counter-cultural, yet beautifully align with God’s purposes.

Why is water baptism important? In Exodus 14, Pastor Quentin shares with us how God demonstrated his saving power over his desperate and lost people surrounded by dead ends and an aggressive enemy. Through this imagery we see that baptism is a divine act showing God’s power to rescue the lost.

As the church starts to wane in their faith, Peter reminds them of the trustworthiness of the apostles’ testimonies about Christ and warns them of false prophets and false teachings. When we struggle with our faith, Pastor Quentin reminds us that we know God is involved in the world because he has spoken to us through scripture.

At the beginning of Peter’s second letter, we are told how God has done all that it takes for us to participate in his divine nature. Pastor Quentin reminds us that God's grace empowers us to strive for godliness, and out of this new nature and new love for God comes fruitfulness for the kingdom.

In this final chapter, James brings the believers’ attention to addressing greed that may arise from the selfish accumulation of money and things. Jonathan urges us to assess our attitude towards wealth and things and to align our practices with the teachings of Jesus so that we can transform our relationship with wealth and foster a community grounded in justice and compassion.

Everyone makes plans. Some just for the day, others for their whole lives. Pastor Quentin delves into the teachings of James 4:13-17, where we are reminded of the fleeting nature of life and the necessity of humility in our decision-making processes as we learn the importance of anchoring our plans in God's will rather than our own.

The Bible describes wisdom that comes from God as pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. In this sermon, Pastor Quentin exhorts us to fight for true wisdom in a world that is filled with false wisdom, always drawing close to the Father, and resisting the devil and his schemes.

What do you think you need to have for you to be content in life? In 1 Timothy 6, Paul warns the believers against false doctrine and harmful desires. Here, we learn that what makes us truly rich does not come from contentment brought by earthly wealth but in taking hold of eternal life in Jesus.

The Bible says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Pastor Quentin digs into our relationship with money and presents the idea that we are either serving money or serving God with our money. At any given point in our lives, we are bound to serve something or someone but a servant can only serve one master.
