Synopsis
For years Doug Cochrane and Justin Strandlund have been good friends and frequent improv partners. They share a love of debating any topic, although their discussions usually come back around to two things: movies and space. Their most infamous debate involved a 2 hour discussion (while at work) about the actual possibility of time travel and it's potential ramifications on mankind; this included a full diagram drawn on a wall-sized whiteboard. Time well spent. MindGap is what happens when they sit in front of a microphone and press record.

Episode 309 - Justin’s Back to talk Disney Parks and Suicide Squad 2
12/08/2021 Duration: 01h19minAfter a week stuck in the puzzle basement Justin is finally back and, like always, it feels like it was so much longer than just a week. The chat starts out with a little talk about Saturday’s video game stream on Twitch where Doug and the Discord crew played the Back for Blood Beta. Needless to say, Doug was not pleased with this game. After Doug swallows up his disappointment he and Justin start talkin’ Disney theme parks because that’s where Justin actually just got back from. After the love letter to Disney theme parks run it course, the boys jump into a chat about The Suicide Squad and it’s disappointing box office numbers. Justin sums it up fairly succinctly as being related to COVID, but other folks were still surprised it didn’t do so well. They talk about the theatre industry’s sluggish response to this pandemic and lack of flexibility seemingly biting them in the ass all over again. This episode comes to a crescendo with a battle between the Green Hornet and Sherlock Holmes in the Throw-Down. How do

Episode 308 - The One Without Justin Where ScarJo Sues Disney
05/08/2021 Duration: 01h25minThis episode starts out with someone missing. That’s right for the first time ever a guest host atnoahreno is filling in for Justin who we can only assume is trapped in a puzzle basement. Doug and the new guy start off talking food like St. Louis Pizza (which barely qualifies as food) and the Deep Dish Deep State™. When things really get rolling, the duo hops into Scarlet Johansson suing Disney over the Black Widow digital release, which of course likely cost her a fair bit of money. This gets them on the topic of movies that are hitting streaming instead of staying in theatres for longer and maybe calling for the death of cinema. After a bit more friendly banter Doug brings up D&D having its best year ever, which ends up being a love letter from our hosts to the game. The show comes in for a crash landing with an epic throwdown battle that pits The Battletoads against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and if you want to find out who wins that you’ll just have to tune in won’t you? 29/07/2021 Duration: 01h25minThis week the boys are back in town and they’ve got an itch to converse. This episode starts off with some hot talk about some chonky dogs with some bad attitudes that brought out the best/worst of Old Man Doug. This leads to a conversation on some of Doug’s parenting highlights. As Doug is talking about things he’d like to instill in his daughter, talk of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics comes up and a can of worms is opened. A long standing argument about what is and isn’t a sport comes up and the whole chat gets in on it, emergency farts come out, and chaos ensues. The conversation eventually drifts to the ethics and feeling surrounding this Olympiad, all while the chat tries to draw him back to what makes a sport. The episode concludes with an epic battle (that almost didn’t make it on time) pitting Segata Sanshiro against The Old Spice Guy (Terry Crews Variant). This epic battle can only have one winner and if you want to find out who it is you’ll have to tune in now won’t you? Follow us on Twitch to hang o

This episode also features a very special new segment (and a theme song) called “Ask Practical Doug” where Doug’s less rage-filled alter ego doles out advice. After that, the topic of Stephen Dorff and his criticism of the latest Marvel film Black Widow came up much to both host’s dismay...mostly at Stephen Dorff being newsworthy. This eventually winds its way to a conversation about how gross our hosts think LinkedIn is. 01/07/2021 Duration: 01h20minOn this week’s episode the boys kick things off with Doug trying the hot new trend of watermelon and mustard. It’s then revealed that Doug’s mustard had expired 2 years ago which spurs a donation drive to buy him some new mustard. This eventually spins off into a discussion about film and television franchises and their desire for more chances to be taken. The guys talk about the new main character’s very suburban name, how Kano stole the film, the characters gaining their powers, how bad Sub-Zero is at his job, and why the town of Gary, IN was so directly featured. The most surprising part of this whole episode is that, in a discussion of a clearly bad movie, Justin is the one raining all over the parade while Doug is offering excuses and arguments as to why it’s not that bad. So while Doug may hate stuff, he doesn’t hate all stuff and he doesn’t h
