Two Pauls, One Show

Sit back and relax! The Pauls sure did...taking almost 40 minutes to meander their way through this episode. They're taking it easy, and looking for laughs after the disappointment of American Gods last episode. Will they find those laughs in Angie Tribeca, a silly TBS show created by Nancy Carrell and her husband? Will Rashida Jones, who stars as the TITULAR Angie, have the Pauls guffawing? Or will it be the long, lost classic, Police Squad! that brings out a truly honest laugh? To find out what the Pauls think, you'll have to sit through a quick check-in on Noah Hawley's other TV show, Legion, as well as some extended musings on the history of American comedy.

The Pauls sit down to watch the first episode of the new Starz series, American Gods. Both Pauls were excited to watch The Great Ian McShane in action, and to delve into an intriguing new series. Only one of those two things disappointed...   Spoiler-wise, the Pauls do discuss specific events in the first episode of the series, as well as the over-arching themes of the show. We tried to be round-about in referencing key plot points though.

Dr. Paul and Other Paul can't help but talk about The Walking Dead, especially the mid- to low-level characters that are catching their eyes. But they quickly move on to the new Nintendo Switch that Other Paul picked up at 12:01 am the day it was released. Finally, Dr. Paul drops a bombshell; he announces that almost two weeks prior he gave up something Other Paul thought they were doing together.

The Pauls discuss the Best Picture nominees before the 2017 Academy Awards. Dr. Paul reads nine haikus inspired by the nine films up for best picture. Then they watch the Academy Awards. Will Other Paul stay awake long enough to see the most insane Oscars moment ever?
