A Doctor Who podcast, hosted by Daisy Kaufman and Cheryl Lowe. We focus on Doctor Who from a "how does that work in the Doctor Who universe" science-ish point of view. There's also lots of other Doctor Who discussion, and some rabbit chasing.

Episode 222: This Is Where It Got Complicated
05/12/2016 Duration: 01h38minHere we review "The Doctor's Daughter". This is also the last recording before The Great Illness of The Fall of 2016. We're really grateful for your patience and support in our long absence from your feeds. Daisy was sick for almost 6 weeks with some unknown, non-deadly, annoying, cold/flu like ick and just didn't have the energy to edit and post. Then came the make up work for work, which again, took time away from this show. Life is finally getting back to mostly normal and Daisy is once again able to do her podcasterly job. We thank you for your support.

Episode 221: Cheryl and the Androids
24/10/2016 Duration: 02h55sThough we wind up talking more about the psychology of androids than their workings, it seems Cheryl has completely missed all the android SF stories. Let the education begin! And Gally news.
-
Episode 220: Books Ran Away With Our Androids
10/10/2016 Duration: 01h47minWe're here to talk about Androids of Tara, but before we can get to that we get carried away geeking out about books we've read. But get to it we do. And boy, do we have a lot to say. Plus some news.

Episode 217: It's Just A Jump To The Left
28/08/2016 Duration: 01h31minHyperspace is only a theory and a Science Fiction concept. But for us it's as real as last week's Doctor Who episode. And the subject of this week's show. We've also got a tiny bit of Gally news. And the usual rabbit chasing. (Sorry we're late posting this. Technical issues, natch.)
-
Episode 216: Vampire Rocks from Outer Space
14/08/2016 Duration: 01h41minIt's the third story in the Key To Time series, Stones of Blood, that we're reviewing this time out. It's our favorite of the Key to Time stories and we've been looking forward to picking it apart. Before we get to that, tho, the hot weather has our rabbits running for cooler temps in the form of the new fall TV shows here in the US. With nothing newsworthy (in our opinion) going on with Doctor Who, we feel obliged to indulge in a bit of that sort of rabbit chasing. Send feedback to: thesonictoolbox@gmail.com

Episode 215: Gunsliinger Borg
31/07/2016 Duration: 01h40minKahler-Tek, known now as "The Gunslinger", kind of looks like a Borg. It got us thinking that perhaps his technology was similar enough to use as a jumping off place for this discussion. And, amazingly enough, for the most part the rabbits seem to have agreed! We've got a little bit of news. A spoiler-free review of Star Trek Beyond. Also, for you Sherlock fans, the three words for Series 4. Episode 214: A Fist Full Of Doctors
17/07/2016 Duration: 01h29minThis is a re-review of A Town Called Mercy. We're revisiting it with the newness worn off. Also since Daisy has seen Ben Browder in Farscape. (She hadn't seen it yet when this episode was first run.) All new attitudes and a fresh look! Send feedback to thesonictoolbox@gmail.com

Episode 212: Mr. Fibuli! Where's my cheese?
19/06/2016 Duration: 01h31minNext up as we hunt for the pieces of the Key to Time is our review of The Pirate Planet. Oh, how the cheese does flow.

Episode 211: Black Rabbit Holes
05/06/2016 Duration: 01h34minBlack holes appear in lots of TV shows and movies. Doctor Who being no exception. Here in the Toolbox, we like black holes a lot more than we do those last two episodes we reviewed. And we want to impart our fascination with this cosmic phenomenon to you. As it turns out, we also want to take you on a merry rabbit chase. We also have news. OMG! News in the summer time? Yes! News! For more real info on black holes, Google "black hole facts" for a pages and pages of quick info lists. WARNING: Contains rabbits.

Episode 210: Hell is for Podcasters
22/05/2016 Duration: 01h05minCheryl has survived the flu! She's back and we can get on with the program. Today we review the 10th Doctor two-parter, The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit. We're also talking about the race for Gally hotel rooms that recently occurred. And Daisy's boyfriend, Grant, makes an unexpected appearance to put his two cents in, and talk briefly about the Marvel/Netflix show, "Jessica Jones". But first, a bit of rabbit chasing...
-
Episode 209: Civil War
08/05/2016 Duration: 20minThis is not the show you expected. Cheryl has called in sick, so Daisy is taking over all by her lonesome. Being that there is no Cheryl to talk to and no real Doctor Who news, this is a review of the newly released movie "Captain America: Civil War". Why? Because Daisy just saw it, so why not. The review is mildly spoilery, but no plot or specifics are revealed. Nothing that gives anything away, at least.

Episode 208: The Great Polymer Link
24/04/2016 Duration: 01h14minThe Nestene Consciousness is the big, plastic baddie from the Third and Ninth Doctor's eras. You know, the ones that turned Rory into the plastic Centurion. We're talking about who they are and how they exist. We're also, apparently, talking about everything else that comes to mind as well. We've also got some news, some not news and some breaking news. WARNING: Contains rabbits
-
Episode 207:Xanthoplastianthophobia
13/04/2016 Duration: 01h37minDoctor Who telling us that we must be afraid of ordinary things started early. Like 1970s early. Like the Third Doctor telling us we should be afraid of yellow plastic flowers. Daffodils to be exact. Plastic daffodils. The ones being handed out by... AUTONS!! Terrifying, really. And so we review "Terror of the Autons" just in time for Spring. It must be spring, the rabbits are out in force and multiplying like, well, rabbits. WARNING: Contains rabbit chasing
-
Episode 206: Give Us A Moment
07/04/2016 Duration: 01h20minThe Moment. A self aware weapon of mass destruction. Just how does that work? I fact, there's a whole bunch of questions about it's existence. Today, we try to figure it all out. Also, a little linguistic history lesson. And a whole lot of rampant rabbits. (Thanks for your patience with us getting this posted. Life (and work) happens sometimes.) WARNING: Contains much rabbit chasing
-
Episode 205: Because John Hurt
13/03/2016 Duration: 01h15minWe've gotten so excited at meeting the War Doctor, John Hurt (Daisy: photo op, Cheryl: autograph), that we decided to rewatch Day of the Doctor. So here we are, talking about the other three doctor special all over again. This time we're just focusing on the stuff that we found of particular interest to us rather than giving an overall review of the whole show.
-
Episode 204: Post-Gally Wrap Up
28/02/2016 Duration: 01h57minGallifrey One is over for another year. We're safely home from Los Angels. Here's what you missed if you weren't there or weren't hanging out with us.
