When I first got into carpets I was so confused with all of the different sub species and which morph went with which sub species. Well, we are going to break it down for you. So if your new into carpets this is going to be the show for you. We will touch on what is in the US and some of the up and coming morphs outside of the US. Well it has been a crazy week for alot of us on the east coast.  We weren't able to bring you a dose of MPR this past tuesday so Owen and I are going to be doing what we do best....Talk snakes! We will be talking about everything from taking care of your animals during a disater and some of the current events in the morelia world.

Tonight we have a couple of guests. First up, Our good friend David Means is dropping by and letting us know about The Dangerous Animal Initiative will hold a public meeting in mid-late October. It is very important that anyone in Virginia that owns a reptile and wishes to continue owning any reptile be at that meeting. The workgroup is looking at what factors may make exotic/wild animals "dangerous", and not just to humans, but to Virginia. They will be looking at how these animals can harm humans directly (bite, crush, constrict, other) but also indirectly (disease, parasites, other). They will also be looking at how these animals can harm the ecosystem and agriculture in Virginia directly (invasive, other) and indirectly (disease, parasites, other). What will this mean to reptile keepers? All reptiles will be considered, not just venomous and large constrictors. What will this mean to other exotic/wild animal keepers? We are honored to have Micheal Cole from the python hunters join us. Micheal  has been breeding and working with large reptiles for 25 years. He’s been a volunteer for the live capture and removal of nuisance alligators, has worked with law enforcement on the removal of native venomous and non-venomous snakes from human development areas, and since 2005, runs a full-time, family-owned and operated reptile business, Ballroom Pythons South, Inc.
