Synopsis

The Filmhaus Podcast by Josh and Michael is about all kinds of movies. Every week a new episode is released.Each episode is parted into a few different segments.Every episode starts off with a " What we've been watching " topic, where they both talk about a movie they've recently seen.Then they will either be talking about a fixed topic like a certain subgenre, a certain director or really anything they can come up with, or, in the more relaxed episode they will talk about a Movie of the Bi-Week , a movie that has been announced in advance to give every listener time to find and watch it.In the Movie of the Bi-Week episode they end each episode with a random Movie Game. These episodes will alternate weekly, so it's either a serious main episode or the more fun, relaxed episode.

  • Episode 12: Anime

    Some thought it would never happen. Others thought it would take forever. But it's finally here. Listen closely as Michael and Josh finally talk about Anime. And it only took 12 episodes. First, as usual, we talk about what we've been watching. We went to the movies quite often, so we watched Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Logan Lucky. Our movie of the Bi-Week, right to the release of mother! is Black Swan by Darren Aronofsky. Next movieS of the Bi-Week are going to be Scarface (1932) and Scarface (1983). Yes, we're forcing two movies on you! Then it's finally time to talk about all things anime. Mostly though what Josh has been watching in preparation, plus some of the better ones Michael knows about. Last but not least we play Jacobs Ladder, as we did a few times already.   • Episode 6: Brought to Life - Animated Movies

    By now 2 hours is the norm as Josh and Michael end the month of June with a long conversation about Animated Movies. They start off by talking about what they've been watching, they both watched Wonder Woman and Josh also saw the horror anthology XX. The theme of strong female characters is followed when they talk about the movie of the Bi-Week: Run Lola Run. The next movie of the Bi-Week will be the Shining. In the main segment of the show they go through the history of animated movies , starting in the early 1900s all the way up to recent releases. Even though animation was and still is very much owned by Disney, they managed to also find a few non-disney animation movies. Last but not least they play a short movie game: Me, Myself and IRate , in which they have to guess what they rated a movie many moons ago.
