I’m joined this week by Micheal Beck from the Ten Tenths podcast. I ask him about his FIAT drift car and about getting into autocross to get the basics. Micheal tells us about his car history, including the fact he has owned an Audi but won’t again and how his latest daily driver is something a bit special.We then talk about “itch cars” - those cars you know are going to be a terrible idea to own but you just have to have one at some point.To wrap up we take on some listener questions about Range Rovers, driving in the snow, handling, Porsches, and Micheal having a stint as a professional stunt car driver.

AKA - I Want To Give A Manly Hug To Rutledge.This week Ian is joined by automotive journalist Chris Pollitt to talk about many things including the World Rally Championship and how it’s become exciting again. We learn what Chris’ favorite car he’s gotten to drive is and what cars break our hearts because we’re too long to fit into. Chris talks about driving the new and old NSX around Bracknell and the Nissan Note in Milan before we get into the topic of car movies to figure out our favourite full movies as well as car chases.We also dig into The Grand Tour and Top Gear because why not tread on internet fire? Also, Tiff Needell is a legend. 

In this episode we talk about Fords decision to have a new bronco on the market in 2020, how a generation is ruling the cultural world right now and how it explains the current Porsche bubble and the idea of the upcoming hybrid Ford Mustang.We also explore the idea of engines that are fun to say and an odd interpretation of Slug Bug. A listener wanted to know what our biggest automotive disappointments of 2016 were so we go round the houses and come up with some answers. 

Our tenth episode! We talk about the Faraday debacle and how automated vehicles were the buzz of 2016 but in reality aren’t progressing as much as people think.We also talk about Marks project engine before going into questions that include thoughts on car stereo systems and an Infiniti as a first car.

Ian explains his choice not to get an E46 M3 and Mark stares a hypothetical but tough decision in the face.We would also not be surprised if California officially legislated a drift tax. 

This week is a bit of FU and then straight into AMA questions from listeners. We recount our first times hitting 100 mph, Ian was scared on a motorbike and Mark had a perfect driving moment.Also, Mark goes full old muscle car nerd and we wonder if you can actually teach someone to drive with a video game.Recording was forced to finish early by our standard so we'll pick up where we left off next time. 

This week we start off by talking about The Grand Tour and Best Motoring International. Ian’s BMW is back and had it’s first shakedown after a bunch of work, Mark test drove his dream Saab and still don’t agree that station wagons make any sense. Mark joines Ian again to answer some car related questions from the Carthottle.com community and, amongst other things, we try and figure out if choosing one car for the rest of your life is easy or not, we wonder if Drivetribe might eat CarThrottle’s lunch, we order a couple of Land Rovers and ponder the downfall of Mitsubishi.
