Costume Designer Debbie Solan; Costumes are inspired by the verses in the Book of Qualities. I usually communicate mood using color. Many of the costumes created are using upcycled materials. Founding Artistic Director Spencer John Powell will premier two new works “In the Land of Qualities – A Ballet”, a fun new fairy tale inspired by “The Book of Qualities” by J. Ruth Gendler. This work will explore the Human Qualities within us all, such as Fear, Power, Charm and Joy, etc. The second work by the Artistic Director will be “My Mother’s Son”, a deeply moving work which will include all of the male dancers of KDK. Additionally, Assistant Artistic Director Ramon Montes presents his last new work a new work called Victory, choreographed by the dancers of KDK.

Dr. Janina Scarlet is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a scientist, and a full-time geek. A Ukrainian-born refugee, she survived Chernobyl radiation and persecution. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 with her family and later, inspired by the X-Men, developed Superhero Therapy to help patients with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Her book, “Superhero Therapy” come out on December 1, 2016 in the U.K. and will release on August 1, 2017 in the U.S.

28/02/2017 Duration: 31minChatting With Sherri welcomes playwright and author; Bill Goodwin! Bill Goodwin is an award winning playwright and fiction author from rural Kansas. A public educator for the last twenty years, Bill has won best fiction honors from the Kansas Writer's Association, and best play honors from the Oklahoma Writer's Federation. He has penned a dozen or so plays, including several melodramas, two audio plays, and the full length "juke box" musical, "Finding Home". Bill founded and operated the Frontier Stage Community Theater in Hill City Kansas, and has worked with high schools and community theaters across Kansas. In May, Bill's full length gothic ghost story, Five Story House, will be be broadcast by the Shoestring Radio Theater, a nationally syndicated radio drama program broadcast on 111 stations in 34 states and Montreal, Canada. Bill is in the process of launching own audio drama website, the DARCAST, this summer. Bill's show "Sherlock Holmes and the Terror By Night Train" recently aired on Sherri's Play
