In Much Less Detail: The Podcast

The guys try their best to avoid Week 1 Overreaction Fever by thinking clearly as they make their picks for Week 2.  Victorious new starters Trevor Siemian, Jimmy Garoppalo and Carson Wentz try to repeat their success.  The Texans try not to get embarrassed at home by the Chiefs like they were in the playoffs.  The Vikings try to knock off the Packers while treating their starting QB decision like a state secret.  And the Bengals try to avenge their playoff loss to the Steelers without the assistance of Vontaze Burfict. Jay and Dre host a special two-hour preview of the 2016 season, breaking down both conferences and picking the Super Bowl 51 champ in their unique style. (Neither's picking the Dolphins to win the AFC East.) Continuing his theme from last year, Dre returns to bitch and moan about how much pain, blues and agony one encounters while trying to relax during a weeklong cruise.  This one was newsworthy...no, really, an incident at the start of the cruise made international news!  Dre breaks down all aspects of the Carnival Conquest journey to Mexico, Central America, and the Cayman Islands, and tops it off with a (relatively) wild night in Ft. Dre has personal thoughts on the death of an all-time music legend for the first part of the live show.  Jay joins later to chat about he and Dre once again making it to the Windy City for the Ad Hac fantasy baseball draft.  They got a taste of Chi-Town and all it has to offer, from snow to deep dish pizza to ice to traffic, all in a couple of days.  How did they do in the draft?  What did they think of Lou Malnati's pizza?  And most importantly, did Jay find a pink Cubs hat for the unofficial 3rd co-host of the show?  In the aftershow, Dre got to hear the man who was chosen for the job of Memphis Redbirds PA announcer over him, and he's...underwhelmed.   Theme music credit:  "Breaking Bad" by Jahzzar   CC BY-SA 3.0

Predicting a baseball season is not easy, but it can be fun, so Jay and Dre are at it again, giving their playoff picks and World Series teams for the upcoming 2016 season.  Jay's Cubs are the betting favorite to win it all, but should they be, or is too much cash being thrown at the sentimental lovable losers?  They're in a very competitive division, so the race should be hot all summer long.  Dre's White Sox traded for Todd Frazier, which is...something.  Will management changes make winners out of beaten favorites in Los Angeles and Washington?  Tune in for the IMLD hardball outlook.  In the aftershow, Jay can take pride in producing the better bracket in March Badness, which saw Dre's champion vaporized in the first round.   Theme music credit:  "Breaking Bad" by Jahzzar   CC BY-SA 3.0

After the go-home Monday Night Raw to cap off a less-than-stellar build for this year's Wrestlemania, Jay and Dre will be joined once again by Jerry the Wrestling Expert to discuss what could and should happen at WWE's annual spectacle.  The main event is a tribute to Vince McMahon: His prize dream babyface Roman Reigns against his legendary son-in-law HHH.  Why does it feel so lame?  They break down the rest of the April 3 show from Jerryland which sees Vince's son battle the very popular Undertaker, who will be defending the hated McMahon-Helmsley stranglehold on Raw, and Brock Lesnar engage in a street fight with Dean Ambrose, who has been portrayed as someone who can't handle Brock without weapons and low blows.  Oh, and The Rock will be there again doing...something.   Theme music credit:  "Breaking Bad" by Jahzzar   CC BY-SA 3.0

It was bowling-shoe ugly as Dre predicted, with defense ruling the day, and it featured by far the worst numbers for a Super Bowl winning QB.  But the Broncos suffocated the Panthers, making a winner out of Peyton Manning and losers out of Dre and Jay.  The boys discuss what went right for Denver, what went wrong for Carolina, why the commercials were so terrible, and anything else pertinent to the Big Game.   Theme music credit:  "Breaking Bad" by Jahzzar   CC BY-SA 3.0

After all of the hype and hoopla dies down in Cali, Jay and Dre are here to get into the meat and potatoes of the actual Big Game.  Peyton Manning's HGH chicken parm, Cam Newton's racial politics and polarizing personality, Peyton's possible last game, Josh Norman and Carolina's edgy and possibly dirty defense--put all the storylines aside.  It comes down to the AFC champion Broncos versus the favored NFC champion Panthers.  Though Dre has already clinched the picks title, the boys will break down the 50th annual Super Bowl and cut through the BS In Much Less Detail to decide: Denver or Carolina...WHO YA GOT???   Theme music credit:  "Breaking Bad" by Jahzzar   CC BY-SA 3.0
