Clemson's scholarship QB depth chart is down to two as Kelly Bryant announced Wednesday morning that he intends to exercise his option for a redshirt year and transfer to another school for the 2019 season. We react to the news and forecast what this means for the Tiger football team moving forward.

The Clemson Tigers sent the Ramblin’ Wreck to the junkyard on Saturday in Atlanta en route to a 49-21 victory over Georgia Tech. Brent Venables and the defense dominated Paul Johnson’s triple option for a 4th year in a row but the real storyline is what took place in the QB battle. After a sluggish start on offense Trevor Lawrence replaced starter Kelly Bryant and led the offense to 4 touchdowns over the next 5 drives, totaling 5 TD drives on the day. In doing so he may have done enough to assume the starting role and bring closure to a competition that has persisted since he stepped foot on campus nearly 10 months ago. In this ep we recap the game and give our thoughts on what could be the beginning of the Trevor Lawrence era at Clemson and how the rest of the ACC is bowing down to usher him in. After a sluggish start by the offense on Saturday the Tigers came to life in the 2nd quarter on their way to a 38-7 victory over Georgia Southern. Overcoming early miscues and a game ending injury to Kelly Bryant, the offense did all of their scoring over the final 3 quarters and the defense held the option-running Eagles to 1.9 yds/car en route to the win. The 3-0 Tigers now turn their attention to yet another option team in Georgia Tech in what may very well be Paul Johnson’s last hurrah. Enjoy the show and Go Tigers!!!

The team is now left with more questions than answers as they head into their week three game against Georgia Southern this weekend, though without reason for panic with a long season ahead. Fall camp has broken for the 2018 Clemson Tiger football team as the boys hit the gridiron in preparation for the upcoming season. There is no shortage of excitement heading in for a team that, on paper, is stacking up to be the most dominant of the Dabo era and appears destined for a fourth straight birth in the College Football Playoff. With all the chatter concerning the QB battle and Balloon-gate its easy to miss the myriad other compelling story lines surrounding this years team that looks to bounce back from last years loss to Alabama in the semifinals. The Clemson Baseball Team wrapped up the regular season and ACC Tournament with 45 wins and as a regional host, earning the national #10 seed in what has been a terrific season on the diamond. The boys of summer finished the season strong, winning 19 out of their last 22 games, but were unable to get past FSU in the tourney. Heading into regional play it will be interesting to see how this team stacks up against quality competition in what is a near mirror image of last year’s regional. We touch on the highlights over the past couple of weeks, including the supernatural play of Logan Davidson, and preview the Clemson Regional. Not to be outdone, Christmas came early this year for Clemson Men’s Basketball coach Brad Brownell and the team as starting guards Marquise Reed and Shelton Mitchell announced that they’ll be returning for their final season. Recruiting and Spring Headlines with Quacking Tiger by Clemson Pawcast

Not only did Clemson’s spring football game bring about a QB controversy of sorts it also brought out the stars as the Tigers inked 6 new 2019 recruits in the past week, bringing their total to 10. In what will possibly be the largest class of the Dabo era the coaching staff has begun to bear down on what should prove to be an exciting summer on the recruiting trail. In this ep we take a look at the newcomers and discuss Clemson’s needs for the recruiting cycle. On the diamond the baseball team showed up in Winston-Salem struggling as of late but managed to pull off a three game sweep of the Demon Deacons.
