Mary Ellen Ciganovich is an educator, author, writer and inspirational speaker. Raised in Atlanta she attended the University of Georgia. She graduated Magna cum Laude in Education, and became a member of the Beta Sigma Chapter of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Mary Ellen taught middle school for over 13 years. In 1986, Mary Ellen was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She decided to use this to create her own picture of MS. Her book, “Healing Words, Life Lessons to Inspire,” was entered for nomination for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize in Original Verse by and American Author. The book’s teachings are words she lives by daily. She speaks to many groups on topics ranging.

The City of San Diego is addressing the need for a new locally-controlled, drought-proof water supply. The City currently depends on importing 85% of its water from Northern California and the Colorado River. A Water Reuse Study of recycled and water Purification that it is feasible for San Diego to use water purification technology to produce one-third of San Diego's drinking water supply locally by 2035. He is an ordained Baptist Minister, Civil Rights & Social Justice Activist, Television Commentator & Personality. He joins me on the edge to shine a spotlight on race relations, religions and restoration.  Brains, this young man has turned a flicker into a flame and is holding community leaders, the city council and police's feet to the fire in both San Diego and now Imperial County demanding accountbilty for there actions or- lack-there-of. Brains, As we reflect on what appears to be a recording breaking number of deaths and travesties in 2016 we must still forge ahead. It was a year fill with trials tribulations and revelations. I can not think of 1 person in my immediate circle that  was not affected by a lost or death if not multiplies within months but yet it is those of us who are left behind to endure what is yet to come. Now here is the question? How can we handle and process the things beyond our control.
