The podcast is finally back after a short hiatus and is even more average than ever! This episode features the site's 'B-' squad as Matt, Al and Sean join Tom to break down the first third of the Big 12 basketball season for the Cyclones. The crew also talks about the Big Monday win over the Oklahoma Sooners, the Ashton/Hallice lineup conundrum, the 3-3 start to conference play, and Prohm's team takeover. This is a no frills podcast where we strip all the production and just get right to the meat of things like the always entertaining twitter questions about radio personality flip cup partners, projected record for the next five games, and the best Ames drinking establishments which inevitably leads to some interesting story time with Uncle Al. Josh joins the conversation toward the end to discuss some football recruiting and the staff that never sleeps. To be fair, this podcast was recorded before the Naz Long news. Either way, the crew answers a boat load of Twitter questions to give the people what they want. They talk about what to expect from Burton, try to put some perspective on Jared Uthoff and offer their uncensored opinions on Ryan Spangler. In addition they tackle the important topics like coach dance videos, Christmas presents for Iowa State players, hairstyles and even some serious things like Iowa States non-conference strength of schedule, but not really. Take a listen for some general inanity and even a guest appearance from Sean's wife.

In the early part of the podcast, Matt, Tom and Austin discuss Iowa State's new head football coach and what we might expect to see from a staff as Matt Campbell get's his feet wet in Ames. We take a look back at the introductory presser and analyze the recruiting strategy going forward. The rest of the podcast is solely dedicated to Iowa State Basketball. We review what we're seeing from Coach Prohm's squad after the Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida. We take a look at new roles for some guys, how great Monte Morris has been, and take a look at some social media mishaps from a prominent figure.  At the end we take a rapid fire look around the Big 12 and find out what we already knew. The Big 12 is good.

Matt (CYHusker) stops by to discuss the running list of candidates he's tracking on WRNL to replace Paul Rhoads as the next head football coach at Iowa State. Some members of the WRNL crew call in to give there takes and we also take some fan phone calls to get some fan perspective from members of Cyclone Nation. Al continues to rip on western Iowa, Sean lobbies for the quadruple option, Dan has some scalding hot takes on the Brady Hoke rumors, Matt comes up with a real trophy for the "Heroes Game", and the crew offers an explanation as to why Nick Saban is a better fit at Iowa State than Texas.
