An encouragement to believers to focus on God's goodness and to come before Him with thanksgiving.

Pelagianism derives its name from Pelagius who lived in the 5th century A.D. and was a teacher in Rome who taught that people had the ability to fulfill the commands of God by exercising the freedom of human will apart from the grace of God.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church...

Above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.

Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. (John 16:2)

Does the Bible really teach that God won't give us more than we can handle?

Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. Hebrews 4:11

God wants his children to be healthy, wealthy, and happy in every possible way and Jesus even says so in John 10:10. Does the Bible really teach that?

...giv[e] thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. Colossians 1:12

I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter my rest.’” Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God.

Vision casting leaders are to be followed without question because they get their vision for their church directly from God. Does the Bible really teach that?

Charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies...

Be patient... Establish your hearts... Do not grumble against one another...  As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets... James 5:7-11

It it sinful to obtain wealth and to enjoy what we might call the good life? Is there something displeasing to God about wanting to succeed at work or in trying to improve our lives with education or specialized training?

...that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him...

Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. Hebrews 3:12

Calvinism, teaches that Jesus only bore the sins of the elect and that He did not die for the sins of everyone who ever lived.
