A further look at an apparent contradiction in God's character as He has revealed Himself scripture. Is He the condemning judge of sin & wickedness or the merciful, forgiving prodigal's Father? However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. (Deut. 20:16) ‘The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished (Num. 14:18)

What is the cost involved with following Christ? Are you "all in" or just keeping in touch?

If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

Palm Sunday Sermon - A King coming to a rebellious city, a hotbed of resistance against his rightful authority. Willing to make peace - Only on His own terms

Authority is the right or power to make decisions and require obedience. Our diverse opinions on foundational matters of the faith reveal that most of us are only interested in accepting an authority we have self imposed.

We seek to more fully understand the gospel of great mercy that our compassionate and gracious God has revealed to us in the Holy Scriptures. He is slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness, He is love, and the embodiment of forgiveness, grace, and justice.

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power 10 on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed.

Was Jesus mistaken when He said that only a few would find the narrow path to salvation? Did He misspeak when He said, “No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”? - If not; what is to be the fate of those who reject the free gift of salvation, of rebirth in Christ?

Besides being dead in transgressions and sin, and conforming to and following the ways of this world; now we learn that before we knew Christ; we were slaves to the wicked spiritual ruler of “the kingdom of the air”.

As Christians we are still in the world, we participate in culture, business, almost everything – however, we are of a different substance, our treasure is elsewhere our citizenship is in another land. Everything HAS changed!

On the cross Jesus saved us from our sins, from slavery, from oppression and conformity to this world; He saved us from spiritual death, but most of all He saved us from the wrath of God.
