Humans are made to worship God, but our sinful nature has disoriented us into worshipping false idols. Jesus's intervention allows us to remove our idols and makes true worship possible again

How do we respond to being rescued by Jesus? By becoming a disciple of Jesus -- and that begins with simply believing the Gospel.

If Jesus rose from the dead, that means all of his promises and plans are true. It means that we have an everlasting hope that can bring us joy amidst trials and suffering. That is very good news.

Mark 10: 13-16. Jesus tells us in order to receive the kingdom of God we must go to him with child like faith and live in complete dependency on him.

Through an encounter with Pharisees, Jesus shows that the institution of marriage is not primarily for us, but to display the Gospel and the sacrificial love he has for us.

Jesus shows his disciples what lengths he will go to keep his children and in response to the consequences of sin, what lengths we should go to get the sin out our own lives.

Jesus challenges his disciples to realize God's work is being done by a much larger team than they thought. The same is true for us.
