As Peter gives the first sermon ever, we are reminded that we have a gospel to believe, a Holy Spirit to be filled with, and that we can't help but live out that good news.

The inauguration of the Church, God's beloved family, the body of Christ, is marked by the coming of the Holy Spirit, in power, to unify and empower the followers of Jesus for the great mission before them. Things will never be the same.

The disciples are about to step into the grand mission that Jesus has invited them into. But first...they must wait. There is much to be learned when we observe how they wait.

As we start our deep study of Acts, we zoom out to see the book’s crucial place in God’s big story, and learn about the Holy Spirit who empowers us to step into the role we’ve been invited into.

What does a life of generosity really look like? What should the people of the church do to become generous in every day life?

Jesus tells his followers to love as He has loved them. Because of God’s incredible kindness, we’re compelled and equipped to be generous people.

Most people have encountered the succinct gospel summary, “Jesus Saves.” We believe there is another: “God gives.”

God has blessed us with His very best in Jesus. Christmas is the perfect time to remember that we needed a Savior - and He showed up.

Our Great Mission concludes with an in-depth look at God's desire for his people to love the city and serve the poor in the scriptures. How has he equipped you to serve?

There is no higher calling than the one God gives to his people; to show others what He is like — in all of creation, and in all of culture.

God has invited us into what He's doing in the world. One question: are you willing?

Sometimes it takes a sermon with just one point to make something sink in. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us.

Hope is a universal need — we all long for it. The risen Jesus declares that hope is in him, and that hope is available. * A note from Pastor Brian: In this sermon I refer to an article claiming that a first-century historical account of Jesus performing a miracle had been found. Shamefully, I did not check my sources well, and the article was revealed as an intentional deception by its author. Forgive me for not being more careful, and know I’m committed to not making such a mistake again. I pray you are no less inspired by the hope of the resurrection as you listen. He is alive!

If the tomb is empty, His promises are not. We have a living savior -- time to rejoice.

On the cross Jesus proves that he is willing to go to any lengths to make us sons and daughters of the King — so we can be loved like family, and live like family.

The death of Jesus accomplished more than most of us realize. On the cross Jesus takes our place, cleanses us of our sin, gives us his righteousness, declares us righteous, and eliminates the separation between us and God.
