The rejection of the Jews was foretold and prophesied centuries before its ultimate fulfilment. They knew full well who He was and yet they refused to accept Him. They knew He was God and yet refused to worship Him as God. They stumbled at Him because He did not fit the mold they had created for Him in their vain imaginations.

By God's grace, the Gentiles have been brought in, unfortunately grace is accompanied by justice which will finally and fully be poured out on the Jewish nation.

It is only by the grace and mercy of God, and by His sovereign election that we who are these vessels of mercy have been spared the fate that might have been.

Paul rebukes the spirit of his questioner with his own question; Who do you think you are that you have the audacity to question God Himself?

Every time there is election, there is also rejection. What is the determining factor?
