Sometimes the Bible, like life, just doesn't make sense. We see this in two early experiences from Jesus' ministry that showcase the mystery, mercy, and majesty of God--and give us clues that help us understand the things that perplex us.

What is life really about? How do we not just exit, but live a truly great life, dealing in healthy ways with it's uncertainty and pain and discover who we really are? With this message we begin a year-long theme of mystery, mercy, and majesty.

If we live for the approval of others, or to seek our own gain, we will burnout fast. But when we live for the Spirit, we will be sustained by the Spirit.

Once freed from the burden of our brokenness, we are released into a life made for carrying each other and restoring one another to fullness of life in Christ.

The gospel promises two kinds of freedom: freedom from our past and freedom for our future. Come discover the richness of a love that saves us and steers us toward true, lasting healing.

Grace, once received, makes us children again—God's children, who are adopted into his family, made heirs to his kingdom, and united with all believers by the freedom of the gospel.

The story of the Bible is one continuous promise, from God's first blessing of his people to the final victory of Christ over death and sin. We are a people of this promised redemption and rescue.

The Christian life is about more than what we believe; it's also, just as importantly, about how we believe. The church should reflect the freedom and diversity of Jesus' message, as interested in the form of our community as we are to the content of our faith.

We cannot save ourselves through behavior modification; rather, Christ saved us through his sacrifice on the Cross. How do we hold ourselves and each other accountable to living by faith?

When we align our lives with Christ, he becomes the desire of our hearts, and from that, all good things flow.

The gospel is the philosophy of grace, a word we use to capture the unbelievable, transformative message that Jesus gave himself up for us so that his goodness could be counted as our own.
