Most people have experienced pain...the kind that sticks around after a significant loss in life. The problem is our culture doesn't have a language to express it so we tend to stuff it under the rug...only for it to trip us up from time to time. In this series we consider how to grieve and mourn through what the Bible calls Lament.

We all have experience we grieve and tend to push under the rug hoping not to have to deal with it, only for what seems God in his holiness and grace pulls the rug out from under our feet to reveal what isn't right in effort to bring healing, or at least restore a new sense of order to the chaos of our pain.

Marla Mercer Cole starts our journey into what lies Under The Rug for many...grief, lament, hurt...from experiences in life we'd rather not deal with.

Paul challenges us to pray this "so that" prayer: May we be unified in our love for Christ…so that…we glorify God as one.

Paul teaches us to pray a prayer of his own: "May my love overflow...SO THAT...my life covers all sin."

Through the "Father of all who believe", we see the potential impact on those around us when we are out of sync with, or try to play, God.

This is week one of four power packed weeks looking forward to who we are becoming glocally. The remaining three weeks will not be podcasts so you'll have to come to see the future.
