099 Julie McQueen and Daniel Lee Martin Brotherhood Outdoors TV
16/05/2015 Duration: 01h27minWhat do you get when you cross a fashion model, poker tour player, pilot, and double psychology major with a music star? You get a hunting show called Brotherhood Outdoors TV of course. Makes perfect sense! Traveling so much for hunting that they often aren't sure which state they are in, Julie McQueen and Daniel Lee Martin are the core of Brotherhood Outdoors TV and Backstage and Backroads Production. They are fun loving, hard core hunters that love being role models for the outdoors and putting it all on television. Yet, they have a serious side and they ARE NOT afraid to make fun of themselves, which means they are down to earth (which we love!) We get down to the roots of hunting with Julie and Dan in this show and find out how they came to find an outdoor lifestyle over everything else. IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS: Daddy Bodies Where in the World are Julie and Dan? The Campground and a 23 Hour Drive Ford F-250 and A Giant 3rd Wheel, Look Out Subarus, Home Away from Home A House Somewhere and Never Ther

098 Talkin' Turkey and Deer Hunting (Of course) with Andy Gagliano The Turkey Hitman
09/05/2015 Duration: 01h35minWe thought we'd mix it up a little this week and talk turkey, seeing that we're right in the midst of turkey season nationwide (yes- we know it's over in parts of the deep South). Don't get us wrong, we're talking deer hunting too, but mostly turkey. We feel that in order to be a good deer hunter you should also strive to be a good turkey hunter, specifically because being in the woods in the spring can hone your woodsman skills and often reveal new deer travel corridors. We could think of no better guest for this task than fellow podcaster Andy Gagliano. Andy is the Turkey Hitman (see Twitter Handle) and one of the most talented turkey hunters we know- he's completed multiple Grand Slams. Andy won't admit that he's as good as he is, but we know better. He's also a darn good deer hunter. When Andy isn't turkey hunting you can generally find him interviewing other turkey hunters for his podcast, trying to learn from them to constantly sharpen the mental aspects of the turkey hunt. 11/04/2015 Duration: 01h22minIf you haven't heard of the Hillbilly Weatherman by now after the winter we just endured, then you either live in a cave (not a bad thing) or you live in an area that didn't see a flake of snow. Many northerners would kill for either scenario. Adam Evans is the Hillbilly Weatherman and he tells the weathercast like most probably think it. And, turns out, Adam is a really really good deer hunter. So much so that when we pitched him the idea of being a guest he said, "I LIVE FOR DEER HUNTING". Our kind of crowd... Adam tells us all about his viral internet journey that he's been on over a few short months, amassing more Facebook followers in a week than most business pages will collect in a lifetime. Adam shares a few deer hunting stories, gives us a weather forecast, and a deer hunting forecast for 2015. 091 TICKS and LYME DISEASE - Are YOU at Risk? with Dr. Alan Eaton
21/03/2015 Duration: 01h35minHave you ever found a tick on you after a day in the field or deep woods? Most of us have and many hunters have been bitten by ticks. Ticks carry several pathogens that cause disease, but the most well known is Lyme Disease. Although not prevalent in some parts of the country, New England was, and still is, a major hot spot. There are ways to prevent the spread of this disease and we discuss all those aspects with Dr. Alan Eaton of the University of New Hampshire's Co-Operative Extension. We also speak with Randy Gagne, a former Big Buck Registry guest and victim of Lyme Disease. We explore the myths, the facts, and how you can walk out of the woods feeling a bit safer. We discuss how to identify the most threatening ticks, where they are found in the country most frequently, help you determine if you are at risk, and what to do when you are bit.
