Liverpool Lib Dem leader, Richard Kemp, joined David Easson on Liverpool Live to share his concerns about Hope and Glory. He told David about the questions he wants answered from the Liverpool City Council in regards to the event and how it was allowed to take place. Richard also praised the businesses of Liverpool for coming together and providing for the people who missed out at the festival. We've contacted Liverpool City Council for a statement.

Jay Platt, also known as the 'Prescot Paddler', joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to talk about his amazing fundraiser in aid of Charlie's Chance. Jay, who has never paddled before, kayaked from Leeds to Liverpool to raise funds for the Charlie's Chance foundation. He arrived back in Liverpool yesterday and told Mick all about his journey.

Jay McKenna from the Spirit of Shankly joined Mick Coyle to talk about the results from their rail seating survey. 88% of Liverpool supporters who took the survey voted overwhelmingly in favour of the introduction of rail seating.

Mick was joined by Helen Holden, Project Manager of the 'Feeling Funny' course and Alan Wright who was a participant. 'Feeling Funny' has been designed to give people the opportunity to tackle the subject of mental health in a light-hearted way and in the process will help to improve mental well-being.

Leader of Wirral Council, Phil Davies, joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to give his thoughts on a letter her received from the Northern Powerhouse Minister, Jake Berry, in regards to New Ferry funding. In the letter, Wirral Council were told 'for an incident of this size and impact we would expect these costs to be covered using existing local resources'. In response, Cllr Davies told Mick how he believes that "if you're in the south of England you're ok, if you're in the north you've got no chance"

Kathy & Rob Lapsley tragically lost their 6 year old daughter, Jasmine, after she died choking on a grape. The Anfield couple told Mick Coyle how they have since set up a charity in their daughter's name to provide support for bereaved families. 'Love Jasmine' holds support groups for parents who have lost children of all ages and also siblings who have lost brothers and sisters. Kathy & Rob have been campaigning to scrap child burial & cremation fees in Liverpool and have had the full backing of the Liverpool Council.

Garston MP Maria Eagle joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to talk about a meeting she had with government in regards to extra funding for Merseyside Police. Eagle, alongside Chief Constable Andy Cooke, Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy and other local MPs, has asked for urgent help from the government to tackle the rising gun crime on Merseyside.

Dave Kelly joined Mick Coyle to raise concerns over the recent cladding of Goodison Park. Clubs across the country are being called upon to check their cladding and Dave wants reassurances for Everton fans ahead of the new season. We have contacted Everton FC for a statement.

Liverpool city Region's Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram was speaking at the launch of the new YPAS Plus North Liverpool Hub. He revealed to Mick Coyle how a young man contacted him about wanting to take his own life. RMT regional organiser John Tilley joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to talk about the ongoing dispute between them and Merseyrail. Merseyrail are concerned that the RMT strike on the 23rd July will harm the Liverpool City Region as it falls on the last day of the Open being held at Royal Birkdale. John Tilley told us that the RMT would sign the Great Western deal if it was offered to them by Merseyrail in time for the Open.

Former head teacher Les Stewart joined Mick Coyle to explain internet slang used by teens to help out fellow teachers who may be confused by some of the terms!

Phil Griffiths, UKIP North West President, joined Mick Coyle on Liverpool Live to share his concerns over the future of the party. Author and lifelong Everton fan David Feehily joined Mick Coyle to talk about Romelu Lukaku's potential move to Manchester United, after it was rumoured that United had agreed a £75mil deal with the blues.

Dave Downie joined Mick Coyle and David Sanderson for the daily sport chat on today's topic - Wayne Rooney. It's rumoured that Wayne Rooney could be in for a return to Goodison Park and Dave gave his thoughts on whether it would be a good signing for Everton or a step back for the blues. #EFC

Frances Molloy, mother of Michael Molloy who was killed in the Bestival coach crash, joined Mick Coyle to talk about her new campaign 'Old Tyres Kill'. Frances is calling for a ban on the use of tyres older than ten years on buses, coaches and minibuses following Michael's death.

Shrewsbury Town have become the first English club to apply to bring back safe standing. They are wanting to replace around 500 seats with rail seating. Merseyside's Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram told Mick Coyle the idea could work, if it was tightly controlled. You can hear from Steve and also from Roy Bentham, Spirit of Shankly and the Football Supporters Federation, who is in favour of safe standing.

A new charity, Veterans HQ, is in the last two to convert the former King's Barracks in Everton into a centre for the city region's veterans. The North West recruits 37% of the country's armed forces and there are over 87,000 veterans here in Liverpool city region. The centre would be able to help veterans withe the dedicated support they need, from mental health services to job searches. The new charity has also got a new patron, the Earl of Derby DL. Stuart & John joined Mick Coyle ahead of National Armed Forces Day to talk about the charity.

Steve Rotheram joined Mick Coyle to talk about his first month as Metro Mayor. In light of recent events in London, Mick asked what measures Merseyside are taking in regards to fire safety after the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Also, Steve gave his thoughts on safe standing after the Premier League contacted all 20 clubs to see if they would be interested in taking part in a trial to reintroduce standing sections in grounds.
