Maddy opens with the news that a number of major owners have voiced concerns over the impact of affordability checks, which some say are causing them to withdraw from the sport. Catherine sheds light on the latest controversy over British racing's premierisation strategy, which will see funding for smaller tracks cut to help fund the sport's new headline Premier racing fixtures. Finally the panel looks ahead to York, including Paddington's appearance in the Juddmonte International, and there's a difference of opinion around Arc favourite Ace Impact's performance at Deauville last week.

Sam Hart is joined by Robbie Wilders and Richard Birch to preview the action from Newbury, Ripon and Newmarket this weekend.   The panel begin by looking at the four races from Newbury including the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes. Chindit is the market leader after ante-post favourite Sacred was not declared. Will the panel be with the favourite or try and take him on? In the second part of the show, the team looks at the action at Newmarket and Ripon where competitive handicaps are the order of the day. It doesn't get much harder than the Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon, but Richard makes a strong case for one at a double-figure price.
