The idea behind the Beatitudes is, as you come to the end of yourself (humble yourself before Jesus, say no to sin, and put others first) you draw closer to God. In other words, as you "fall" to the end of yourself, you move "upward" towards Jesus! In part 4, we look at "the pure in heart" and how Jesus calls us to seek purity.
