Pastor George Sawyer continues the series by explaining the promise Jesus made that He would baptize with the Holy Spirit. Pastor George Sawyer explains the day we celebrate as the birthday of The Church and how that event applies to us today. Jesus told the disciples to wait for The Promise. The disciples didn’t know what was going to happen or when. Like them, if we don’t know the next thing, we need to do the last thing He told us to do. Through the season of corona virus, God is developing us and we're coming out stronger. Pastor George Sawyer continues the series by explaining how Jesus dealt with His out-of-nowhere moment when He was in the desert and tempted by the devil. Jesus had 30 years of preparation in private. Then after 40 days in the desert and isolation, Jesus was tempted by satan out of nowhere, but he should have left Jesus alone. Pastor George Sawyer shares how Jesus prepared the disciples at the Last Supper for the out-of-nowhere moment that would occur afterward. When we go through a time of shaking, the important things in us will remain. Satan is limited. God is faithful. He already has a way out for you! Using the example of the storm in which the disciples were on the boat without Jesus we see how waves of doubt surrounded the disciples. In the middle of the storm of the virus, God's plan has not changed for you. When Jesus came to them walking on the water, fear caused them to not recognize the Savior.
