110: Do What You Fear
11/05/2022 Duration: 23minIf God has been whispering to your heart that He wants you to write a book, and if friends and family have been telling you that you should write a book, then why haven’t you? Maybe you say you don’t have the time. Maybe you say that you don’t know how to do it and you’re confused and overwhelmed with the process. But here’s the truth: what is presenting itself to you as confusion, overwhelm, self-doubt, and a lack of time is actually just fear wearing a different mask every time. You are already an anointed and appointed writer, and the enemy can’t take that from you. But what he tries to do is steal, kill, and destroy your confidence through fear. In this episode, Nika shows you how to overcome as she talks about: Acknowledging that fear is a spirit, not just a feeling The fruit of the Holy Spirit as an antidote for the fear spirit Choosing which spirit to echo with your words Confronting fear with the Love of God Intentionally positioning yourself to receive the comfort of His presence by practicing spiri

106: Let Principles Lead the Way with Leo Sabo
13/04/2022 Duration: 51minEvery day, I meet Christian women who feel called by God to write a book. They can’t shake the urge. They can’t sleep at night. They are distracted during the day. They are afraid they will reach the end of their lives and never actually finish their book. When they meet me, they finally feel hope that they can do it because they know I can show them how. But when I invite them to join The Keep Writing Course, most of the women I meet say the same thing: “I don’t have the money right now.” Oh, this response grieves me. I believe Christians everywhere are not stepping forward in their callings because they are not using the tool of money in a way that facilitates their Kingdom purpose. My friend, Leo Sabo, feels the same way. He is the President of the Christian Stewardship Network. He loves to see people experience their own financial awakening, and he’s spent the last 17 years working with couples, individuals and church leaders; helping them understand and manage finances conforming to Biblical princi

105: Take a Step with Alisa Keeton
06/04/2022 Duration: 49minI met Alisa Keeton in October 2019 at a writing conference where we were both asked to speak. The moment she took the stage, I knew something was different. Her delivery was drenched in the Holy Spirit, and even though it was a message about fitness (not something I am usually interested in) I had to lean in. She has a God-given perspective on the human body that is different from anything I had ever heard before. So many times, a twisted view of our bodies and our skills holds us back from living in freedom, love, and security in Christ. Can you imagine if you looked in the mirror and thought kind thoughts about yourself as a spiritual being who lives in a body? How would your life change? And what if you could look at your writing and think kind thoughts about yourself as a person who shares Kingdom messages through words? How much would your life change? As both a wellness coach and a writer, Alisa shares the impact of our thoughts in our conversation today. You’re invited to join in. Connect with Alisa Ke

She does not communicate with her own voice, and she was diagnosed with a condition called dystonia, which she will explain in our conversation. Abigail is writing her first book right now, and she does it by typing with her thumb or knuckle. She does not type with the full dexterity of both hands. But does that stop her? Not at all. There’s so much to learn from Abigail’s story. Listen in to hear the full interview now! The post 97: Let Nothing Stop You appeared first on Nika Maples.
