Christ is supreme in all things. It might be tempting to think that we should "be better people" because we can earn God's favour. But we put to death our sinful desires and put away sinful actions because we are part of God's new people! We do so because we are transformed by Christ.

What distracts you from following God? Colossians tells us to keep our eyes up and focused on Jesus, living in a manner worthy of our calling.

The Old Testament laws and regulations pointed to the fact that we needed a Saviour. That Saviour has now come, so don't let anyone tell you that you need to add anything to what Jesus has already done.
