Tonights’s contest would mark the unveiling of the Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey against the LA Kings. Unfortunately for the Sharks, they would channel more California Seals play of the 1970’s than the peak performance they showed in the 2000’s. The Kings would score an early goal in the first only to have it overturned on review due to offsides, however it would not matter as Jared Anderson-Dolan would score a little later. Kevin Labanc would score to even up the game but Phillip Danault would answer back late. The Kings would score again at the beginning of the 2nd period, Barabanov would make it interesting making the game 3-2 going into the 3rd period.However the Kings would pull away with another 2 goals handing the L to the Sharks 5-2. The Sharks would be out played in the first frame with a 2:1 ratio of shots on net in favor of the Rangers. In addition to the shot counter being tilted, the Sharks would be physically manhandled by the Rangers checking line. A bad hit delivered by ex-Shark Ryan Carpenter on Nico Strum would be emblematic of the Sharks physical frustrations. The second period would be better than the first with the shots being almost even, but without any sustained pressure in Ranger’s zone the team generated few dangerous chances. The Rangers would score late in the 3rd period on a tip-in which spoiled Reimer’s impressive night. An empty netter would prove to be the game deciding goal when Logan got the Sharks on the board late with 15 seconds remaining in the game. The San Jose Sharks winning streak comes to an end to the hands of the Detroit Red Wings by a final score of 7-4. Despite the three consecutive victories halted, it was another epic night for Erik Karlsson. The streak is over! The San Jose Sharks suprise the Dallas Stars 5-4 in the Metroplex on Friday night. Alexander Barabanov, Logan Couture, Tomas Hertl, and Timo Meier each had a goal and an assist. For Couture, he added in a fight to complete his first Gordie Howe Hat Trick. James Reimer had a solid 25 saves to help Team Teal hang for their 4th win of the season. The Sharks would allow the first goal 2:30 minuets in and seemed to be chasing the scoreboard all night. Meier would get the equalizer towards the end of the first period and the Sharks would slightly edge in shots 11 to 9. Kyrou and Saad would get goals in the second, one being on the power play. Hertl would get a goal but the late goal would ultimately be the dagger of the game. Logan would equalize the game early in the third but midway through the Sharks would allow the GWG and subsequent empty-netter to seal the loss. Team Teal had Timo Meier, Tomas Hertl, and Kevin Labanc each had a goal and two assists but not enough in a 5-4 loss to Anaheim. The Ducks' Adam Henrique has only scored three times, and all three have been in San Jose this week, but the biggest one came in the shootout with the game deciding goal. In a battle of the Pacific Division cellar dwellers, the Anaheim Ducks topped the San Jose Sharks in a shootout 6-5 on Tuesday night. Team Teal had exceptional nights from Timo Meier with two goals, Tomas Hertl had a pair of assists, but the night belonged to Erik Karlsson. Despite the loss, EK65 had his first NHL hat trick along with an assist to cap the four point night. Puckguy and Dana take the positives from Team Teal's first "loser point" of the season.

Logan Couture always loves to play against Canadian teams, and tonight was no exception. Logan would score less then a minute into the contest, his line look particularly effective after Baribonov and Matt Nieto were added as his line mates. The Power Play would net 2 goals on the night with Timo finally getting his first goal of the season and Couture adding another. The Leaf’s would tie it up in the third with Austin Mathew’s beautiful individual effort but could not seal the deal at the end of the 3rd. 2nd shift in OT would prove to be Karlsson’s best as he took a nice Timo Meier up pass on the breakaway to send the Tank home happy.
