The Sharks would allow the first goal 2:30 minuets in and seemed to be chasing the scoreboard all night. Meier would get the equalizer towards the end of the first period and the Sharks would slightly edge in shots 11 to 9. Kyrou and Saad would get goals in the second, one being on the power play. Hertl would get a goal but the late goal would ultimately be the dagger of the game. Logan would equalize the game early in the third but midway through the Sharks would allow the GWG and subsequent empty-netter to seal the loss. The Ducks' Adam Henrique has only scored three times, and all three have been in San Jose this week, but the biggest one came in the shootout with the game deciding goal. In a battle of the Pacific Division cellar dwellers, the Anaheim Ducks topped the San Jose Sharks in a shootout 6-5 on Tuesday night. Team Teal had exceptional nights from Timo Meier with two goals, Tomas Hertl had a pair of assists, but the night belonged to Erik Karlsson. Despite the loss, EK65 had his first NHL hat trick along with an assist to cap the four point night. Puckguy and Dana take the positives from Team Teal's first "loser point" of the season.

Logan Couture always loves to play against Canadian teams, and tonight was no exception. Logan would score less then a minute into the contest, his line look particularly effective after Baribonov and Matt Nieto were added as his line mates. The Power Play would net 2 goals on the night with Timo finally getting his first goal of the season and Couture adding another. The Leaf’s would tie it up in the third with Austin Mathew’s beautiful individual effort but could not seal the deal at the end of the 3rd. 2nd shift in OT would prove to be Karlsson’s best as he took a nice Timo Meier up pass on the breakaway to send the Tank home happy. The Sharks would start an early 10am game this morning, however it would take them a period to wake up. Kaapo Kähkönen would be ready at the start of the game making some great lateral saves. Unfortunately for the Sharks the second period must always follow the first and the issues would also follow them to the scoreboard. The Devils would pot 2 goals in the span of 4 minutes with only a lone Kevin Labanc goal to show for the Sharks. Evgeny Svechnikov would be the lone goal scorer for the Sharks late in the first, as they weathered 35 shots on goal in the game. The second period would prove to be the Sharks downfall as the Hurricanes funneled 17 shots and Necas would score with 23 seconds left. The third would be the nail in the coffin as the Aho would direct a puck off the skate to the back of the net with less than 2 minutes. The Sharks would play a good defensive opening period bouncing back from last night’s defeat holding the Preds to 7 shots and no goals. At 14:24 of the First Period Luke Kunin would score on the Power Play on a crash play with Lindblom and Ferraro getting the assists. Unfortunately the Predators would score three times in the Second Period to erase the Sharks lead. Captain Couture would score his first of the season in the second but it would prove not enough. In the final frame the Sharks would place 15 shots on net to Nashville’s 3 but could not solve Lankinen for a tying goal.
