On a historic night in which the Sharks raised Patrick Marleau’s number 12 to the rafters the team would play an exciting game up to the very end. With a 4 goal first period the sellout crowd was rocking the tank with an electric atmosphere. Some depth scoring from Bonino and Svechnikov in the first would leave us knotted at 2-2 until the 3rd Period. 16 seconds into the 3rd, an angry Max Domi would rip a beautiful top corner goal and had the Sharks searching for answers almost all of the rest of the period. Erik Karlsson would play hero with just 2:10 left in the game tying it up. It would take a shootout and heroics from Peter Mrazek to seal the win for the Hawks.
