Purdue made it interesting, but Edey and company found a way to a Big Ten Tournament Championship versus the hard-charging Nittany Lions.

Purdue played the hottest team in the conference and handled them with relative ease. In doing so, our Boilers did a lot- improved to 28-5, earned a spot in the championship and perhaps earned a revenge game (dependent upon another upcoming result). Purdue wins 80-66…let’s talk about it.

I used to respect Rutgers, don’t anymore. Two minutes of game time ruined that. Who cares - Purdue improves to 27-5 while winning 70-65 in Chicago.Purdue still needs to learn how to handle the press…wash, rinse, repeat.

Brandon Newman showed a bit of his upside today for the final game of the B1G season as your Boilermakers took a 24 point lead and pooped all over it. And still, Purdue hit clutch FTs and made enough plays to fight off Illinois’ 18 minute comeback bid.

Purdue clinched the title with about 15 minutes left in the first half…then slogged their way through the muck and mire that is a Wisconsin basketball game to win a beautifully-ugly game. Purdue is 25-5 after the 63-61 win.

While Purdue regrouped from the IU loss, some of their B1G foes did them a favor…and are the boys able to beat the men? Let’s find out.

Purdue enjoyed some home cookin’ after a tough stretch, sending OSU to their worst loss of the season.
