Carla: Hi Dr. Cabral, I have a question about these small (1/16th to 1/8th inch), flat topped, skin coloured, bumps on the back of my hands. I've had them since early spring and I've been to my naturopath about them, but they are persistent and don't seem to be responding to treatment. He said they were a virus of some sort and recommended putting tea tree oil on them. When I first started the tea tree oil they seemed to respond by bringing larger painful ones to the surface (they are not normally painful). But after that they have seemed to stop responding and come and go as they please, sometimes lasting for months. The painful ones are gone and now they are just skin coloured bumps again.
