Mike and I delve into the specifics of how we write screenplays with a beginning discussion on how we would execute an adaptation of the first game in the RE series.   It's all main story questions, and story beats, with a few key scenes talked about. Remake dos and don'ts! They're talking about a Princess Bride remake and that spawned this whole conversation about the dos and don'ts of remakes in games (and movies).   I 100 percent forgot to mention that I want a Silent Hill remake :/

Yesterday gave us an impressive Nintendo Direct full of great game announcements and updates, as well as surprising shadow drops.   Where was this gusto at E3? Who knows. But at least we got it here!    

I couldn't help myself.   What's the episode about? Who cares with a genius pun like that for a title!?   Ok, ok. It's about making the jump from 2D to 3D, or rather which amazing 2D franchises failed to make the jump well. Is it because their mechanics just don't work? Or has it just not been done right yet?     Shine on doods!

Today we talk about how it seems to be the loop that a successful game leads to arrogance, which leads to a plateau that eventually spells the downfall of our favorite series.

Controversy. Announcements! EXCITEMENT!   It's EVO baby!   Enjoy our round up - and once again, sorry I couldn;t make it this year. But next year lets grab a drink!

It's FGC Christmas! Usually EVO has a few exciting announcements for the FGC and there's been a lot of crazy ass rumors spreading about this year - So we try to give you some realistic predictions to either temper your expectations or get you hype for what announcements may actually come!   Shine on Doods!    And those of you going to EVO, have fun and i'm sorry I won't be there to shake your hand!

That is to say: no idea survives the marriage of commercial and creative pursuits. No triple A game, no movie, no song - makes it to your hands without having been censored or diluted in some way. It's a hot button issue right now to get riled up about censorship, but the truth is - this is how it's always been and always will be. Super Nintendo Land - or what I have called Super Nintendo Entertainment Land (SNEW for short) had a few models leak this week. And the park looks cool as hell!   Add to that a little controversy from pokemon fans, one that will ultimately mean nothing, and we have what's called a slow AF news day. But a fun conversation nonetheless. Shine on doods!

Nintendo announced the Switch Lite! FINALLY. And it has a few people riled up. I think it's cool if only somewhat late but this announcement mixed with it being Matt's Birthday week - led us into a conversation about switch lite, good gifts, and matt's fond gaming memories growing up. Dig in and shine on!

Today we talk about whether exclusivity still matters, if it actually costs companies money, and what exclusive would need to be announced to make us buy a system.
