Dr. Margaret Mahoney passed on March 11, 2018 in Great Falls, Montana. She taught History at Bellarmine University for more than half a century. She came to Bellarmine as the first woman professor. In this interview she told stories about her perfect attendance, about the snake, and the dog and how she never met a person at Bellarmine that she did not absolutely admire.

Dr. Sharon Kerrick is a dynamic and motvational leader in the community and now the Dean of the Rubel School of Business at Bellarmine University. Dr. Conor Picken is an English Professor at Bellarmine University. He has been teaching BU students for five years and is the Faculty Director for the Brown Learning Community. Bridget Klein has been the Study Abroad Advisor for the past four years at Bellarmine University. Linh Nguyen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse and says the similarities between her alma mater and Bellarmine University is what first attracted her to Bellarmine. She is the Interim Director of the Office of Identity and Inclusion and in this interview explains why the office is so important to the overall Bellarmine community.

Dr. Paul Pearson directs the Thomas Merton Center at Bellarmine University. In this interview he talks about the benefits and value in hosting the center at BU. Dr. Pearson tells us about his travels around the world talking about the Merton Center and shares a very interesting story about how he first became fascinated with Thomas Merton.

For the past four years, Bellarmine University has welcomed Dr. Dawn Hall-Bibb to the School of Movement and Rehabilitation Services. Dr. Hall Bibb is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy. In her conversation with The Pineapple, Dr. Hall Bibb defines the profession she has chosen to practice in, what the employment future looks like for graduating students and she shares some of her techniques and strategies to get her patients to be more active and how she works to get her clients to improve their quality of life.

Dr. A.T. Simpson came to Louisville nearly four decades ago as a doctoral student at the University of Louisville. While studying for his degree he was offered a choral director position at Bellarmine and you might say the rest is history. Dr. Simpson, who comes from a long familial line of teachers, says he knew he would teach as a profession some day, he just didn't know how communicating with students would change so much.

Dr. Dawn Hall-Bibb joined Bellarmine University a Visiting Lecturer four years ago and has become an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy. She celebrates the holiday season with a family that continues to grow. Dr. Hall-Bibb says it may be because of her genuine interest in the care and well being of others, but she enjoys celebrating the holidays with a mix of relatives, close friends and others who may just need a hot meal and good company.

What happens when the holiday gift you've always wanted is just a cabinet away? For Dr. Kristin Cook, who to this day says she has a problem waiting to open up surprises, it was too much. Her impatience ends up costing her six months as she explains in this hysterically funny holiday story.

Dr. Sue Davis is the former Dean of the Lansing School of Nursing and Health Sciences and shares memories of great meals during the holiday season. She also talks about the Bellarmine community's tradition of making sure all students who remain on campus during the school break have a family to connect with over the holiday season.
