Shirley Harris is the author of the new book entitled Conversations With The Little Girl Within, A Journey of Forgiveness, Healing and Liberation From Unresolved Childhood Issues. Children don't have much to say about the families they are born into.  Subsequently far too many children grow up in homes with family dysfunctions ranging from physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, drug addicted parents and other adverse experiences.  What so many neglectful and abusive parents fail to realize during child rearing is that, that child is going to grow up to be an adult some day and that adult will be tarnished and will remember the traumatic abuse they suffered. Shirley's book details some of her adverse childhood experiences and how as a adult she was able to find forgiveness and healing through many spiritual modalities that liberated her from her painful memories. Also talked to first year graduate student about her decision to go to graduate school. These are just two of the young people I spoke with this weekend about their college experience.
