12/09/2017Hurricane Harvey survivor and sick ass rapper, Ocho Sanchez AKA #elpapadeloshoodcorridos joins me (via ghetto rig speaker phone) to talk about wearing cowboy boots to elementary school, attending Silva Health Magnet High School, being El Papa De Los Hood Corridos, getting his master’s degree and his new album “Hood Corridos Volume 3”. He tells us about his Hurricane Harvey adventures including finding plenty of tortillas at the store after bread ran out, running out of food and toilet paper, dealing with food rationing and more. He blesses us with some ill a cappellas. Also, I peed myself a little bit.

30/08/2017My good friend and gifted emcee, Def-i and his touring brethren Watzreal and J-Scribe join me to talk about the Third Eye Wide Tour, how we met, his background, his experience with the Vans Warped Tour, healthy eating on the road, the Art of Rap concert/Prodigy’s final performance, his encounter with Shia LaBeouf, rippin’ mics on the Sway in the Morning radio show, his Tour Life video, tour stories and his new album Arrow-Rhymanics. The trio, along with St. Nobody and Brooks, set the mic ablaze with unforgettable a cappellas and I pat myself on the back for drunkenly spelling “onomatopoeia”.

Anguelo shares the story about him catching the skating bug at the Steve Caballero/Kevin Harris demo (here in El Paso), doing “speed” at the age of 13, debaucherous Coronado High School partying, becoming a “full blown alcoholic” at 17 and multiple Juarez adventures such as spending time in a Juarez jail after a drunken driving car accident. He talks about dying after his first time shooting heroin, speed balling, his “rock bottom moment”, his time spent in “rehab” and his recovery. Sorry for the A/C noise!

26/06/2017My good friend, Jessica recounts her many adventures and experiences abroad including visiting Europe as a teen, working and living by the beach in Italy, watching Maceo Plex play in Venice on New Year’s Eve 2016, dealing with “aggressive” people in Morocco, Japanese culture and going to Dublin, Ireland to see Disclosure. She talks about buying a house at 22, helping run her father’s company, writing for a local publication and writing manuals for “war vehicles”. We also guzzle bomb wine called Menage a Trois on episode 69, no less.

He shares the stories of how he met the other members of what became the Hip Hop group, Faceless and the time a fellow rapper from Fresno performed knife tricks for him while wearing a wolf costume. We take to Facebook to answer questions from his fan and to find out the status of the song for Ramon Silva’s album. We also spit some a cappellas and discuss the potential benefits of death and suicide.
