Determined Marathoner Rolls Across Finish Line After Collapsing
19/09/2017 Duration: 02minJodie & Soda speak with US Woman Devon Bieling who has been labelled the real-life Pat Mullins (Chris Lilley's 'We Can Be Heroes') after rolling across the finish line in a marathon in Washington. Bieling explained that she collapsed with 11 metres left in the race but she was determined not to get any assistance and get disqualified, she decided to roll, an idea she got from watching Ironman Kona finishers. "My legs just gave out from underneath me...all I could think about was roll so that's what I did!" The 30-year-old completed the race in 3:34:02, just under the Boston Marathon qualifying time of 3:35:00. She finished 131st overall and 36th among women.

Anti-bullying Law Proposal In South Australia After Teenager Libby Bell's Suicide
10/09/2017 Duration: 04minJodie & Soda speak with Libby Bell's uncle Clint Gow-Smith on the push to create a bullying- specific law that would put serious offenders behind bars for up to 10 years. The legislation dubbed "Libby's Law" was prompted by the suicide of 13-year-old Seaford Secondary College student Libby Bell, who was bullied online and at school. The Year 8 student died on August 28 after enduring what her family alleges was years of cyber bullying over Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. She was also subject to physical abuse from peers, including at a Seaford fast food outlet last year when she was filmed having a drink poured over her. Clint's advice to anyone experiencing bullying or witnessing it: "Speak up!
