It is often said that the best revenge is living well. If you want to "get even" with someone, the best thing you can do is live a good life today. In the past, I used to create elaborate revenge schemes for people I felt had wronged me. Or, when it came to dating, I always wanted to show off my current girlfriend to my former ones to show how much better I was doing. Now, you don't need to show others that you are living a good life. The point of living a good life is for you, the people who you feel a need to get even with are irrelevant. Hurting others will always end up bringing hurt back down on you.
