If the doctor says you have six months to live, that is just a guess the same as if I tell you that you have twenty years to live. We are probably both wrong and it is hard to say who is more right. I have learned that a life of expectation is based on thinking certain people know the future and that I also know my own future which has consistently proven wrong in my own life. When I look to see how little of my past I remember, I see the only thing I do know about the future is that everything passes. With everything passing, I find a great sense of peace about the future because it is uncertain and yet I will get to enjoy the beauty of it in one way or another.
