We do not exist separately without relationships which is why asking questions like "What would make me happy?" and "What would I like to do today?" consistently bring unhappiness. Instead, if we ask "What would I do today that will benefit others the most?" or "How may I best serve the world today?" or "What would I love to do today that would be most helpful for all other human beings?" Asking better questions gives us better answers which then make being happy a consistently daily habit instead of a fleeting moment of pleasure that we always must chance. Most of the times of my life filled with depression, fear, anxiety, hate, sadness, and frustration included me relentlessly asking "How can I feel better?" and "Why do I feel like this?" and "What would make me happy today?" and "When will I have a better life?" and "Who can I get to make me happy today and give me what I want?" and "Where can I go to feel good?" and so many more selfish questions like this.
