Synopsis
How do we escape fear thoughts? The easiest way is to just say "No thank you" or "I am not interested in that" when the thought comes up. For example, when my daughter is playing as a parent a fear thought often comes out what if she gets hurt. While usually I just say no thank you or I am not interested in that, in the face of some of the most painful thoughts I instead just pray or say "God" in my mind to acknowledge the thought and let it pass. This default no thank you mode allows us to let fear thoughts pass through whereas fighting fear thoughts often keeps them stuck in place.
