Born into a family of singers and musicians, it would appear Thomas' destiny was written from birth. His father Thomas R. Ware Sr. was known for his traveling gospel quartet in Ohio, and his mother Lucille Ruffin was known for her strong voice in the church choirs she sang in. From childhood he studied the sounds of traditional gospel singers in the Pentecostal church setting, Church of God by Faith. Entering into adulthood, Thomas would leave the Church and begin to tour as a secular rap artist sharing the stage with OutKast, Eve, Eight Ball & MJG, Ja Rule, and many more. It would appear that Thomas' career was well set in stone until God showed him otherwise.
