My autobiographical work dealt with awkward, everyday moments. And they knew I was a dad. My immediate reaction was to think of Luke as four years old, because that's how old my son was. I did a bunch of sketches, but in the end, they decided not to use the idea. But my publisher, Chronicle Books, had done a lot of work with LucasFilm and I thought maybe they could take the idea to them.
