The Brown House – St. James’ Haunted MuseumJas and Sher, your Audio Curators, are always excited to find new locations that are haunted and barely known. On this week’s 90th Episode they discuss ‘The Brown House’, originally built and lived in by the Brown family located in the parish of Headingley along the Assiniboine River in 1956. Now this Historical family home is used for education purposes and proudly sits in St. James as one of the three buildings that hold exhibits and has programs to tell the story of the communities of St. Francis-Xavier, Headingley, St. Charles and St. James.The Brown House has a kitchen, parlour and dining room on the first floor and four bedrooms on the second floor…..and GHOST! Known to be very active, many have seen things levitate and even at night time sprits roam around and seem to have a party as everything is moved around by morning’s opening time. There is said to be the sounds of a giggling little girl and soldier asking for directions to the non-existent airfield. ****
